    The Murder of Julie Love

On July 11th, 1988, 27-year-old Julie Love was on her way home from a meeting when she disappeared. Her car was found a few days later and police theorized that she had run out of gas and met with foul play. It became a highly publicized missing persons case and the pressure was on the police to solve it. Julie's family did everything they could to find their daughter. They knew she had not run off because she and her boyfriend, Mark Kaplan, had been talking marriage.

Join Mike and Gibby as they discuss the disappearance and murder of Julie Love. Over a year after Julie disappeared, a 34-year-old woman named Janice Weldon came forward to say that her 24-year-old boyfriend, Emmanuel Hammond, and his 18-year-old cousin, Maurice Porter, were responsible for Julie's murder. This was the information that police needed but had been unable to get on their own. There are a number of twists and turns in this case. Race became a huge factor in this case as an attorney and a judge were killed by mail bombs and a white supremacist group took credit for the killings.

Join Mike and Gibby as they discuss the life and crimes of Susan Polk. Everything about this case is the stuff that tabloids thrive off. Joseph Christopher

Joseph Christopher went on a killing spree in 1980 around the Buffalo, New York area that caused the press to dub him the ".22 Caliber Killer." Christopher's murders were racially motivated and he targeted black males. John Rodney McRae

John McRae's committed his first murder when he was only 15. He murdered an 8-year-old boy in his neighborhood. He was convicted of the murder and sent away to prison for life. It was thought that, after 20 years, he was rehabilitated and he was set free. That decision would prove disastrous.

Join Mike and Gibby as they discuss the life and crimes of John McCrae. John went on to commit additional crimes, some for which he was ultimately convicted. He is thought to be responsible for a number of disappearances of young boys in Florida. There are many years where John seemingly committed no crimes. Is that possible for a predator like McRae? Or, was he just able to get away with his crimes and stay off police radar?

    Rod Ferrell

By 1996, 16-year-old Rod Ferrell was the leader of a vampire clan in Murray, Kentucky. He began telling everyone that he was a 500-year-old vampire. When his female friend in Florida began complaining about her family, Rod devised a plan to rescue her. But somewhere along the way, the plan changed to murder.

Join Mike and Gibby as they discuss the life and crimes of Rod Ferrell. Rod, along with fellow teenagers Scott Anderson, Dana Cooper, and Charity Keesee, drove to Florida to rescue 15-year-old Heather Wendorf. On Nov 25, 1996, Richard and Ruth Wendorf were murdered. How did this vampire clan, which started out as a role-playing game, evolve into murder? Did Heather Wendorf know that when the group rolled into town, they were planning to murder her parents? And, how did 16-year-old Rod Ferrell rise to cult-like status within the group and get others to follow his lead?

    Steven Ray Thacker

Steven Ray Thacker had a fear of rejection and abandonment. He suffered quite a bit of it during his childhood. He turned to drugs and alcohol and racked up a long rap sheet by the time he was in his twenties. After one stint in prison, he met and fell in love with a woman who had two children. Thacker now had a ready made family and he craved their attention and approval. But, when he lost his job, and couldn't provide for them, he made a fateful decision that would lead him to commit three murders in three different states.

Join Mike and Gibby as they discuss the life and crimes of Steven Ray Thacker. Thacker's killing spree began just before Christmas 1999 when he feared that he wouldn't be able to provide the Christmas that his family deserved. Was it the fear of rejection and abandonment of his new family that drove him to rob and commit murder? What part did his diagnosed mental illness, for which he refused to take his prescribed medication, play into his decision making?

    Jean Harris

In 1980, Jean Harris shot and killed her lover Herman Tarnower. She was arrested and charged with murder. The case made headline news all over because Jean was the headmistress at a prestigious school for girls and Tarnower was a cardiologist who co-authored the best-selling book, "The Complete Scarsdale Medical Diet Book". But what exactly happened that fateful night of March 10, 1980? Did Jean Harris commit murder or was Tarnower shot in a tragic accident?

Join Mike and Gibby as they discuss this infamous case. Tarnower had become a household name after his best-selling diet book began filling household's all over the country. He and Jean had a 14-year relationship that ended in his death. What had gone so terribly wrong during that 14-year period? Jean's side of the story is that she was trying to end her life when Herman was shot accidentally after wrestling for the gun. But would a jury believe her?

    Peter Kurten

Peter Kurten was a German serial killer who operated in the early 20th century. The press dubbed him as the Vampire of Dusseldorf because he experimented with drinking the blood from some of his victim's wounds. Kurten grew up in household filled with depravity, his father subjected the entire family to verbal, physical, and sexual abuse. These experiences would have a profoundly negative influence on his life.

Join Mike and Gibby as they discuss the life and crimes of Peter Kurten. He committed the majority of his crimes in 1929 when he terrorized the city of Dusseldorf, Germany. But his exploits were published around the world striking fear into all those who read about them. Kurten's childhood was so messed up that it's impossible to think that his need for sexual gratification through brutality didn't in part stem from his experiences.

    Darrell Keith Rich

Darrell Keith Rich terrorized Shasta County, in Northern California, over a 2-3 month period in the summer of 1978. He began his predatory ways by sexually assaulting a number of women and girls. But, very quickly he began murdering, using the very same M.O. that he used previously.

Join Mike and Gibby as they discuss the life and crimes of Darrell Keith Rich. This a guy who committed his spree of crimes in his early twenties. But, thankfully, he was caught very quickly, mainly because he chose to go around town telling people what he had been doing. This is also a case with some interesting legal twists and turns.

This was something that Richard Farley could not understand. His infatuation turned to obsession and he began stalking Laura daily. This obsession ultimately led Farley to commit a workplace mass murder that left seven dead and four wounded.

Join Mike and Gibby as they discuss the workplace shooting committed by Richard Farley. Ward Weaver

Ward Weaver had a turbulent childhood. He had an abusive father who left when he was young and his mother remarried a man who was also allegedly abusive. Ward modeled those same behaviors in the relationships that he had as an adult. Then, in 2002, when two young girls went missing in Oregon in the span of two months, Ward became the prime suspect.

Join Mike and Gibby as they discuss the life and crimes of Ward Weaver. Weaver wasn't shy about telling the media that he knew police believed he had something to do with the disappearances of both Ashley Pond and Miranda Gaddis. He maintained his innocence and told the media that the police were harassing him. But, when he was arrested for another crime, police got the break they needed to prove that Ward Weaver was a murderer. The crimes against these young girls were horrific, as would the reasons behind the murders.

She murdered Heather Garraus because she felt like she was standing in her way of having that life. But, the lengths that Shawna went to were shocking. The Murder of Stephanie Scott

26-year-old Stephanie Scott was a high school teacher in Leeton, Australia. She was well-loved by friends, family, and her students. She was set to be married to the love of her life, but just days before her wedding was to take place she was killed by a monster. Friends and family searched for Stephanie after she failed to return home or answer cell phone calls. No one was prepared for the truth of what happened to the beloved teacher.

Join Mike and Gibby as they discuss the murder of Stephanie Scott. 24-year-old Vincent Stanford was a loner who preferred to spend his time playing on-line video games. The rest of his time was spent stalking women, meticulously detailing out their routines in his journal. Stanford was a cleaner at the high school where Stephanie taught. She was just one of many victims he had been stalking. But sadly, Vincent found his opportunity to strike when Stephanie was at the school finishing up some work.

    Stanley Tookie Williams

Tookie Williams was a co-founder of the infamous Crips gang in the 1970s in Southern California. Raised by a single mother, Tookie learned how to be tough in order to survive on the streets. He lived the gang life for a number of years and got heavily involved with drugs. In 1979, Tookie was arrested and ultimately convicted of murdering four people. He was sentenced to death.

Join Mike and Gibby as they discuss the life and crimes of Tookie Williams. This is a man who undoubtedly committed a laundry list of crimes during his life. But, the four murders for which he received the death penalty didn't seem to be gang related. Tookie is also an interesting study in that he seemingly turned his life around in prison. He began writing children's books denouncing the gang lifestyle on which he had been such a big influence. The question many people have is whether or not this turnaround was real or whether it was a ploy to try to escape the death penalty.

    William Scott Day

William Scott Day was in trouble pretty much his entire adult life. He spent over 90% of it in Michigan prisons. Most of the time he spent outside of prison was because of his numerous prison escapes. His last escape was his most daring as he was able to talk a hospital supervisor into smuggling him out. While on the run, Day murdered at least six people during his 39 days of freedom.

Join Mike and Gibby as they discuss William Scott Day. This man was a master manipulator who was able to talk people into doing what he wanted them to do. During his time on the run, Day used the Greyhound bus system to travel the country. He would walk from bus stations to find his victims, and after committing his murders, he stole money from his victims to finance his run from the law.

    Arthur Gary Bishop

Arthur Gary Bishop was one of Utah's most infamous killers. Between 1979 and 1983, Bishop murdered five boys, but over years he molested many more. When the police closed in on him they found hundreds of photographs he had taken over the years of many different boys. Many have never been identified so police have no way of knowing how many victims Bishop may have had over the years.

Join Mike and Gibby as they discuss Arthur Gary Bishop, a man conflicted between his Mormon faith and the sexual urges he had from a young age. What motivated Bishop to carry out his evil crimes against such a young and innocent group? Was it his excommunication from the church? Was it his claim that he was molested at an early age? The end result was that Bishop preyed upon vulnerable children to satisfy his sick sexual urges. His crimes progressed to murder and would have continued if law enforcement had not stopped his monster.

    Gerald and Alice Uden

In 2013, 71-year-old Gerald Uden and his 74-year-old wife Alice were arrested at their Missouri home. The couple had been keeping some very dark secrets for over 30 years. Alice had killed her 3rd husband in 1974. She then married Gerald. Gerald murdered his ex-wife and his two adopted sons in 1980. It took decades but the police finally put the pieces of the puzzle together and would hold these two people accountable for their murders in Wyoming.

Join Mike and Gibby as they discuss the twisted but fascinating case of Gerald and Alice Uden. Was there a connection between these murders that happened six years apart? Could it be a coincidence that Gerald murdered his ex-wife and adopted boys after he married Alice and just happened to dispose of their bodies in the same manner she had? Many different claims were made about the murders. The question is, who is telling the truth?

    Robert Berdella

Bob Berdella murdered at least six men in Kansas City, Missouri in the 1980s. When he was finally caught and all the details of his crimes came out, the press dubbed him "The Butcher of Kansas City" and "The Kansas City Butcher". Berdella drugged, sexually assaulted, tortured and murdered his victims. He was a sadist and his crimes were extremely brutal.

Join Mike and Gibby as they discuss the life and crimes of Robert Berdella. What was it, exactly, that caused Berdella to begin murdering when he was in his thirties? For much of his life he appeared to be an upstanding citizen who always held a job, started his own business, and owned his own house. But something was festering inside Bob that he began acting on in the 1980s. He began luring men back to his house with evil intentions.

    Charles Cullen

Charles Cullen was a nurse who murdered a large number of patients over 16 years in both New Jersey and Pennsylvania. He confessed to murdering between 30 and 40 patients, but many people believe the true number of his victims could be in the hundreds. Unlike many serial killers, Cullen didn't feel compelled to keep souvenirs from his victims and he didn't even keep a list. So, for that reason, he has had a lot of trouble remembering just exactly who he murdered.

Join Mike and Gibby as they discuss the life and crimes of Charles Cullen. This is a man who has labeled himself as an "Angel of Death" and has tried to pass his murders off as ending the suffering of his patients. But, we know this is simply not the case. It is well known that Charles Cullen murdered people who were not suffering or dying. He simply killed because he wanted to and he may have reveled in the power to take the life of another human being.

    Richard Kuklinski Redux

Richard Kuklinski was the subject of the second episode of True Crime All The Time. There was one big problem with it, there was no Gibby. It is the only episode that Gibby was not a part of it and we could not let that stand. So, in a newly researched episode, Mike and Gibby present to you Richard Kuklinski, the way it should have been done.

Richard "The Iceman" Kuklinski committed his first murder at the age of 14. In his early days he killed anyone that annoyed or slighted him. He went on to become a mafia hitman and eventually formed his own crime ring. He earned the Iceman moniker for his method of freezing his victims, sometimes for years, in order to confuse law enforcement as to the victim's time of death. Law enforcement believes that the body count of The Iceman could be as high as 200.
